Supporting your professional community has never been easier! NMVMA offers a variety of ways for members to get involved, whether you have a little time or a lot to give. Volunteering not only strengthens the veterinary community but also helps you connect with colleagues and make a lasting impact.
No matter how you choose to get involved, your efforts help NMVMA support veterinarians, their teams, and the animals they care for. Have questions? Reach out to us at nmvma@nmvma.org for more details. We look forward to working with you!
Do you have a few hours to spare? Microvolunteering allows you to help on an ad hoc basis, such as supporting specific projects or events. It’s perfect for members with busy schedules who still want to make a difference.
Looking for a more structured way to contribute? Joining an NMVMA committee allows you to engage deeply with the organization’s work, share your expertise, and collaborate with peers to advance veterinary medicine in New Mexico.
The NMVMA Communication Taskforce explores new ways in which to communicate and engage with current members and potential members.
This committee works closely with the NMVMA Legislative Advisor and monitors all bills that can have an impact on New Mexico veterinarians. It is most active during the legislative session but, there is also work do be done year round.
The Power of 10 Committee is responsible for developing a series of courses for the Power of 10 Program. Courses include leadership, communication, financial information and more.
