More than CE

Learning should support the whole professional life.

NMVMA uses a simple test: is the topic useful, credible, accessible, and connected to a real need?

Several formats can serve the same goal A live event may be right for hands-on work and relationships. A webinar can reduce travel. A short recording or tool can help at the moment of need. NMVMA chooses the format after considering the audience and the job the learning must do.

What continues and what could expand

Core learning does not depend on one grant.

Funding can increase access and capacity, but NMVMA can continue to convene learning, gather needs, and build useful education regardless.

Sponsorship can also support a specific event or resource. NMVMA should name the sponsor, protect educational independence, and explain what the support made possible.

Help shape useful learning

Share one idea, case, or connection.

An interest form starts a conversation. It does not automatically commit you to teach, mentor, or build a program.

A strong proposal begins with the need, not the speaker. Tell NMVMA who would use the learning, what should be different afterward, and which format could make it practical. Clear learning goals help NMVMA assess fit, timing, cost, and the support needed.

A clear learning promise

Know what an opportunity offers before you commit.

Each learning listing should identify the audience, topic, format, schedule, cost, available credit, and any preparation needed. When a program is still being developed or depends on funding, NMVMA will say so plainly.

If a format, location, or cost creates a barrier, tell NMVMA. That information helps the association choose future topics and formats that fit real work.

Educational independence A sponsor may help make learning possible, but NMVMA should name the support, protect educational judgment, and explain what the funding provided.
