Renew. Recruit. Reconnect. NMVMA Membership for 2025–26

Membership renewal season is here! Invoices for the 2025–26 NMVMA membership year will arrive by mail in early June, with email reminders and a secure link for fast online renewal to follow. You can also renew anytime at www.nmvma.org, or download the membership form to submit via email, fax, or mail.

Your membership fuels everything we do—from legislative advocacy and future continuing education (CE) offerings to student outreach and emergency response resources. Renewing early ensures uninterrupted access to member benefits and keeps your voice at the table as we plan for the year ahead.

And while you’re renewing, please also help us grow. NMVMA is only as strong as the community behind it. If each member invites just one colleague to join, we’ll double our impact across the state.

Not sure what to say? Here are a few simple talking points to share with a nonmember colleague:

Talking Points to Share with Colleagues

  • “NMVMA gives us a unified voice at the Roundhouse—one that legislators actually listen to.” Even if you’re not directly involved in advocacy, your membership gives NMVMA the credibility to show up and speak for all veterinarians in New Mexico. The more members we have, the stronger our voice when policies threaten how we practice—or open doors to needed change, like loan repayment and rural access.
  • “It’s the only place where the whole New Mexico vet community can connect.” No one has time for more meetings—but NMVMA isn’t about more on your plate. It’s about knowing you’re not alone. Whether it’s through the listserv, CE events, or reading the Roadrunner, there’s a quiet reassurance in being part of a statewide network that understands the pressures of this work and celebrates the wins that matter to us.
  • “They actually listen—and act on what members ask for.” From wellness resources to Power of 10, wildfire response tools, and rural CE meetups—NMVMA doesn’t build programs in a vacuum. They ask what we need, then build around that. So if you’ve ever thought, “Someone should fix this…”—being a member gives you a place to say it, and a team that wants to help.

If you have any questions or need help with your renewal, we’re here for you at nmvma@nmvma.org or (505) 985-7124. Let’s keep building a stronger veterinary community—together.
