NMVMA Scholarship Opportunity for New Grads: Attend SWVS 2025 on Us!

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting and engaging early-career veterinarians in New Mexico, NMVMA is proud to offer a full scholarship for one outstanding new graduate to attend the 2025 Southwest Veterinary Symposium (SWVS) in Fort Worth, Texas, from September 25 to 28.

This scholarship is designed to help new DVMs launch their careers, connect with peers and mentors, and explore leadership opportunities within organized veterinary medicine. It’s just one of the many ways NMVMA invests in the next generation of veterinary professionals.

Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must:
• Be a 2024 DVM graduate
• Be currently practicing in New Mexico
• Demonstrate leadership potential and an interest in professional engagement

What the Scholarship Covers
• Full SWVS registration ($470 value)
• Up to $400 for travel (airfare or mileage)
• Up to $60 for ground transportation
• Up to $400 for hotel accommodations
• Invitation to Saturday’s VIP Reception and award recognition
• Invitation to the SWVS Board Meeting on Sunday morning
