Our Mission:

The mission of the NMVMA is to promote veterinary medicine and quality animal care
through communication, fellowship, and professional growth of New Mexico veterinarians.

Our Strategic Objectives:

The objectives of the New Mexico Veterinary Medical Association are to provide services to the veterinary community in the state of New Mexico which:

1. Encourage and enable, through continuing education programs, lifelong learning by veterinarians currently employed in New Mexico.
2. Assist in the veterinary education of students in and from New Mexico.
3. Protect the practice of veterinary medicine from unwanted and unnecessary encroachment by government legislation and regulation.
4. Promote the image and value of veterinarians and the veterinary profession to the people of New Mexico.
5. Establish and maintain adequate funding and fiscal controls to provide for current and future activities of the NMVMA in New Mexico.
